Our 291st Cabildo Luncheon was on August 6, 2022

We had many dignitaries/VIPs in attendance. Our special guests were Manuel Rodriquez Santana (Director General de Emigración, Viceconsejería de Acción Exterior, Presidencia del Gobierno de Canarias), County Judge Nelson Wolff, Mayor Ron Nirenberg, Steve Chiscano (Honorary Consul of Spain in San Antonio), Father Carlos Velasquez (Rector, San Fernando Church), Bexar County Clerk Lucy Adame Clark (Bexar County Clerk), Sheriff Javier Salazar, Councilwoman Dr. Adriana Rocha Garcia, Councilman Manny Pelaez, Pat Wallace (Chief of Staff City Council District), Martha Henry (International Relations Manager – City Global Engagement Office), Collen Swain (Director World Heritage Office), Blanche Mendoza (Operations Manager, World Heritage Office), Betty Bueche (Former Bexar County Director of Heritage and Parks), Mari Tamez (Bexar Heritage Office/Former CIDA President), Joe Perez (Granaderos y Damas de Galvez), Lisa Santos (1718 Founding Families), and Jimmy Peet (Texas Connection with the American Revolution).

Judge Nelson Wolff was honored as an Honorary CIDA Member. Mayor Ron Nirenberg presented an Honorary Citizenship of San Antonio, Texas Certificate to Manuel Rodriguez Santana and to the Consul General of Spain in Houston, Julia Olmos. Consul General Julia Olmos was unable to attend the luncheon but was presented the certificate later that evening by CIDA President Freddie Bustillo and his wife, Gloria Bustillo.
